Soles in Motion is a locally owned small business in its 10th year. We believe small businesses keep people in town which benefits the community as a whole. As a small business that believes in helping people lead an active lifestyle, we sponsor events and programs to encourage everyone to be active and involved. Soles in Motion wants our customers to know how we’re making our community a better place and we find causes we’re passionate about.
Soles in Motion is the Presenting Sponsor of Sole Sisters Women’s Race Series. Sole Sisters celebrates the strength of female runners and the lifelong friendships developed on and off the running roads with three events: June’s 5K run/walk, June’s Li’l Sisters Races and October’s 5K, Quarter & Half Marathon. Sole Sisters supports Girls Gone Gazelle Run Club. These races help make Girls Gone Gazelle an empowering program for girls in our community!
Soles in Motion is a sponsor of the Maritime Race Weekend. Maritime Race Weekend Association is a not-for-profit society committed to raising money to support local not-for-profit groups. Maritime Race Weekend encourages and motivates everyone in our community to get more active. The race takes place on September 16th& 17th.
Always dreamed of walking down the runway! Well Soles in Motion is an Executive Class Sponsor of the Nova Scotia Lung Association Runway Run. Hit the runway with us at the Halifax Stanfield International Airport on September 10, 2016 to help make Nova Scotia a healthier place to live and breathe!
As part of our commitment to helping others, we encourage our customers to bring in their gently worn shoes and donate them to Dr. Colin Van Zoost’s organization, Walk in our Shoes, at St. Andrew’s United Church every Sunday. He and other volunteers fit the homeless in the Halifax area with footwear and give foot care services. Soles in Motion has been doing this for over 5 years and is committed to help people less fortunate in our area.
Internationally, Soles in Motion has found a way to help those less fortunate by donating braces, footwear and other products through one of our favourite customers who travels to health care centres located in small towns throughout South Africa to help those in need.
We were also very pleased to play a small part in the Canada Cuba Goodwill Tour when we were given the opportunity to donate new footwear to the young Cuban baseball team that came to visit Halifax Regional Municipality. It is so important for our young people recognize how fortunate we are to be Canadians.
We would love seeing you!
